neon is now.

Cambridge Satchel

I've been looking everywhere for this bag and then BAM - I found them in a little shop in Köln the other day while on my lunch break. They've sold out but are receiving a new shipment next week. Which color should I choose?

singing in hotelz.

[shirt and shorts from American Apparel]

I broke my beloved bright Orange UrbanEars headphones dancing to Prince in the bathroom so I went out and bought a new pair instantly. No Orange but I'm okay with change.

Can't sleep and Blink182 and hotel rooms are a memory I had on my mind last night.

see ya america.

Acne Scuba Star Leather Jacket

I've been livin in hotels. On the road again. Just got the call that I'll be going to Paris soon again for work so I stepped out yesterday and bought myself the new Acne Scuba Star Leather Jacket to arrive in. Love.

The past few months have been hectic. Work has consumed my life for better and for worse but I truly do love my job. I got the opportunity to work in Dublin, Barcelona, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Paris and Stuttgart for two months with American Apparel in the early spring. I went back to New York for a minute, moved out of my apartment and now I'm in Pittsburgh for another week.

The most exciting news is that I was offered my dream position for the that company that I love so much AND my European work visa has been approved. I'm leaving in the next 3-4 weeks. If only one year ago I could have seen where my life would have taken me in present times. Funny how much things change, no?

See ya later America. I'll keep you updated along the new journey my life is taking.

I've been in Chicago for the last little while which is really exciting as I've never been here before. I got sent here to open a store kind of last minute two or so weeks ago.

Fun people, beautiful city, no garbage or graffiti on the streets and lots of work to be done.
If it weren't so cold I'd want to move here for a bit.

The new American Apparel is now open at 39 South State Street in Downtown Chicago; if you're in the area - go check it out!

Spent the afternoon wandering the East Village and Alphabet City getting tea and vintage shopping with Avril, Niamh and Alice.
If you're in New York I hope you're enjoying the greatest weather on Earth.
Cigarettes may be over priced, we may work like animals around the clock and be living on the soup diet but there's no place like NY and the amazing people that live here.

pourquoi pas?

I've spent the past few weeks reassessing my life.
What is important? What do I want from life? What do I want to do?
Learn. Experience. Create.

I'm going to go on a year or more long journey around the globe.

I've studied Graphic Design, Photography, French, Advertising.. yet I've spent little to no time cultivating any of them. I've come up with a list of goals.

I want to spend a significant, undivided amount of time on my artwork. I'll spend a few months in an inspiring yet remote location in order to make my Design portfolio what it deserves to be. Limited or no internet access. I am unable to focus on this in New York with my obsession with work, a bustling night life and one too many distractions.

I will not return to New York until I am at least tri-lingual. I'll spend enough time in a French speaking country in order to perfect the French that I already possess. I also have to decide which third language I would like to learn. Berlin is affordable, has an inspiring and exciting art scene and will also have opportunities to work on Design internships. Ideas in their beginning stages.

Then I want to go explore places that I have never been before. Explore them through my lens; God knows over the past few months enough dust has collected on my camera to make it seem as though I'd never picked it up in my life.

Once I feel as though I've accomplished all intellectual and artistic pursuits I set out to achieve abroad, I will move back to a major city and get serious about my career.
Hopefully by this time I'll have enough experience and knowledge to begin a career creating movie credit sequences and working with motion graphics.

For the next year or so though, I'll stay in my beloved city of New York, continue to work around the clock and save, save, save.

Thats the plan, thus far, anyways.

fashion week.

Went to the opening ceremony party during fashion week.
Look to my left and who do I see in a raccoon hat waiting next to me for a beer.
